Read Depak Chopra’s books. His first language isn’t English, but he writes such wonderful self-help books. They will probably inspire you.

What i would suggest is don’t try to write in English until you are confident about your vocabulary. I think that you should write your book in your native language, as it is your strongest. After you are satisfied with your book in your language, then translate it to English or have someone that speaks both languages fluently help you translate it.

im also a non native speaker… and if the only thing is that you want to become a writer it wont work. you also need to have talent and actually WRITE! it might not be perfect at first, but yuo’ll improve fast (if u have the talent)

one of the greatest english writers of all time Josef Conrad had english as a second language He was from Ukraine or Poland or something. give him a read i think you will be impressed

You can do anything you set your mind to.

I recommend you read a lot, write a lot, and try to travel.

Yes, if you move to a country that speaks mainly english. That way you can pick up the slang. My friend moved here from Finland, shes been here a month and has picked up the slang already, but you’d have to go to school or something and really immerse yourself in it. Also read lots of english books of all age levels.

If your public library has purchased ebooks in those areas, then they would be legal. If the authors of books posted them on their websites, it would be legal. Chances are any books on peer to peer sharing sites would be pirated copies.
