Trying to do a water fast but agoraphobic so can’t leave house it’s making it hard 2 stick 2 it. tips & Q’s?
Sorry about the title but the whole thing wouldn’t fit :o) lol.
I am trying to do a water fast to cleanse my body and clear up my skin bc I am really self conscious about it but I am agoraphobic so I am ALWAYS in my house surrounded by food! This is making it almost impossible to fast bc I get so bored and there is nothing else to do but EAT.
Can you guys please give me tips on how to stick to this even though I don’t leave my house? I can’t even go into my backyard =/. Also, has anyone with acne/scarring ever done this? If so, how long did it take to see and improvement in acne? Did it help heal scars?

(Oh and please don’t get on me about my agoraphobia; I am in therapy and trying to get over it but it is VERY hard. I have been this way for a little over a year now so I can’t just fix it over night.)
Well, I have never been on a water fast before, and I’m not a dietician, so you should take this with a grain of salt.
Is the purpose of the fast to clear up your skin? You can also do that by just cleaning up your diet… if you go on a fast and then resume eating what you were eating before, it won’t be a permanent solution. Sometimes it is also what your diet is lacking that matters. F.ex my skin improved when I added in fish oil. Also, accutane works wonders for really bad acne.
Anyway as for practical ways to avoid the food in your house:
-If it is junk food or processed food, get rid of it (donate to food bank or a friend).
-Do you have a friend that can help you with this? Or a family member living with you? Maybe they could support you by putting the food in an inaccessible place.
-Find distractions so that the only thing to do isn’t just eating.
-Please be careful, because fasts can be risky, esp if you haven’t done them before. Maybe consult a doctor before you start.

Find something entertaining to do instead of being bored and thinking of food.
